The Brightest Adventure Spots

Tanzania is home to some of Africa's most famous national parks and the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro rising above the Serengeti.

Most visitors will find themselves passing through Dar es Salaam and heading out on safaris and various wildlife viewing adventures.

For those who want to take a break and spend some time soaking up the sun, the beautiful beaches of Zanzibar beckon. Off Pemba and Mafia islands is a whole other kind of natural wonder, one most appreciated by snorkelers who come here from around the world to experience the coral gardens.

"Tanzania & Kenya are the lands of  the Safari Superlative & the African  experience Hemingway knew and  loved."

Explore the authentic wilderness of Kenya and Tanzania on an adventure safari, choose an exciting location that will ensure you have the holiday of a lifetime.

The Serengeti is one of the most famous parks in Africa and is synonymous with wildlife and classic African scenery. It is Tanzania’s oldest park and a Unesco World Heritage Site. It is home to the spectacular wildebeest migration and offers top-class wildlife viewing throughout the year.

A visit to the Ngorongoro Crater is an experience of a lifetime. There are few places that have wildlife densities and variety on this level. It is not unusual to see the Big Five in one day – and all this in the most amazing setting with a backdrop of the 600m/1,968ft-high crater wall.

Selous Game Reserve is one of Africa’s largest parks, but most of it has been set aside for hunting. The animal viewing area that is open to the public is relatively small but very rewarding, with many predator sightings and excellent boat safaris on the Rufiji River.

Verdant rolling hills of endless green, great blue skies and spectacular landscape views are what the Chyulu Hills in Kenya provide to nature lovers. Large mammals include buffalo, elephants, leopards, giant forest hogs, bush pigs, reedbucks and giraffes along with various reptiles Horse riding, camping, mountain climbing and bird watching can be enjoyed in this hidden part of paradise.

"Africa is mystic; it is wild; it is a sweltering inferno; it is a photographer’s paradise, a hunter’s Valhalla, an escapist’s Utopia. It is what you will, and it withstands all interpretations. It is the last vestige of a dead world or the cradle of a shiny new one."
